Recap: A 43-40 deficit heading into the locker room at the end of the first half undoubtedly brought Duke fans flashbacks of upsets past. Brandon Ingram helped the Blue Devils weather the storm with 11 first half points.
Duke righted the ship and created some breathing room with a 12-0 run little over a minute into the second half. If the first half was about Brandon Ingram for Duke, the second half was the Marshall Plumlee show. Plumlee was a menace, recording 3 blocks and 6 dunks in the period en route to a 23 point 10 rebound performance. Though Wilmington made the game interesting pulling within 5 with 1:15 remaining in the game, they never seriously threatened to retake the lead.
Key Stat: UNC Wilmington, had the second most free throws attempted against them in the nation this season. True to form, Duke practically lived at the free throw stripe going an astounding 31/43.
