Though Wilmington made the game interesting pulling within 5 with 1:15 remaining in the game, they never seriously threatened to retake the lead.

Key Stat: UNC Wilmington, had the second most free throws attempted against them in the nation this season. True to form, Duke practically lived at the free throw stripe going an astounding 31/43.

Quote: “You always hear about the sense of urgency, how there’s one loss and you’re out. Sometimes it’s hard to fully appreciate that until you’re in the moment. You see it going that way like we did today. That’s something we can definitely take moving forward” –Marshall Plumlee on Duke’s slow start.
