The emotions involved with winning and losing are often paired together in a similar cliché, “the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.” Pittsburgh’s 101-96 double overtime victory over Wake Forest on Tuesday night undoubtedly provided more relief than exuberance for the Pitt Panthers.
Over the past two seasons since his transfer from Vanderbilt, Pitt forward Sheldon Jeter has carved out a role for himself as the Panthers sixth man. Combining his long rangy athleticism with an inside out scoring touch, Jeter has drawn praise as one of the best sixth men in the ACC if not the entire country.
